The GPS1A is the newest technology being persued by the OSGPS community. This hardware approach is one we believe will be very popular in the future (once all the software is completed). This is our first product where all of the correlator functions are all done in software. This is a GPS receiver defined totally by software. The hardware is a simple RF down-converter with the IF signal connected to a high speed USB interface. From there, it is all a matter of software! The GPS1A connects to your PC just like any other USB device.

NOTE: At the present time, the software is only capable of doing post-processing on a file collected using the GPS1A device. There is a need for software contributors to help with the "real time" processing solution. GPS Creations is working toward having this product available somewhere around the time of the ION show in September '07. It is shown in the price list but shipments will not occur until the latter part of '07.
